Feel-good Brit flick arrives on LOVEFiLM Instant
To mark the cinema release of British comedy Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger this week (23rd November), Amazon’s LOVEFiLM and eOne are giving film fans the chance to enjoy the cute and chaotic antics from the original Brit-flick, Nativity! exclusively on LOVEFiLM Instant.
From today (19th November), members of LOVEFiLM – Europe’s largest subscription service streaming movies and TV episodes over the internet and sending DVDs by post – will be able to stream the feel-good family movie instantly, giving movie fans the chance to relive the performances of some of the UK’s funniest home-grown stars including Martin Freeman, Ashley Jensen and Marc Wootton.
Written and directed by Debbie Isitt, the partially improvised comedy follows primary school teacher Paul Maddens (Martin Freeman) as he competes for the honour of producing the best nativity play in town.
When Mr Maddens claims a big shot Hollywood producer is coming to see the show with a view to turning it into a film, he suddenly finds himself at the centre of a group of over-excited children desperate to show off their unique – and often strange – range of talents. With help from the ever enthusiastic Mr Poppy (Marc Wootton), the pair knuckle down to create the most eccentric and energetic nativity play ever staged.
