Role Overview
Reporting to the Group IT Manager and supporting the day to day operations of the LOVEFiLM Windows server infrastructure. We have two roles providing a key 3rd line support function to the business. Responsible for the LOVEFiLM Office and Distribution Centre’s servers and 3rd line support across three countries.
Travel to Sweden and Germany as well as within the UK will be required at various times. All applicants should be able to travel freely within the UK and Northern Europe.
Responsibilities & Activities
• Support the daily operations of LOVEFiLM server environment. This will include both hardware and software support.
• Provide 3rd line support for the IT Support function.
• Support the SQL and server hardware for our 3rd party Customer Services solution
• Support our Business Intelligence reporting solution running SharePoint and SQL
• Monitor and respond to service desk tickets in a timely manner.
• Manage the backup, recovery and DR testing for all group locations
• Group Policy management
• Support the Citrix VMWare/XenApps/XenServer & Exchange 2010 environment
• Delivery and maintenance of highly available services
• Undertaking any other responsibilities and duties as required by the Group IT Manager.
Essential Skills & Experience:
• Very good communication skills in spoken and written English.
• Proactive approach to service operation.
• Customer focused.
• Self-motivated, well organised and ability to work well within a team.
• Microsoft Server 2003/2008.
• Microsoft SQL 2005 & 2008.
• Microsoft SharePoint 2007 & 2010.
• Able to design, configure and maintain Active Directory.
• Microsoft Exchange 2003 & 2010.
• ITIL Service Operation experience.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
• MCITP/MCSE qualified.
• 3rd Line Service Desk experience.
• Practical experience of Service Desk or ITIL tools e.g HEAT or ITSM
• Experience of HP server and Blade hardware.
• Good knowledge of IIS7
• Exposure to cloud-based hosting
• Exposure to VMWare, Citrix XenApps or XenServer.
• Ability to maintain security to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS).
KPIs
• Ability to turnover daily tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
• Ability to complete pre-planned quarterly projects.
• The uptime and availability of relative office and DC services in accordance with preset service level Agreements (SLA)
